Mitzy . Young spayed female dob 01. 04. 2017 ADOPTED

Mizty is Jack Russel size  and came into foster in October 2019 from a Romanian shelter. She was a very scared girl and it has taken a long time for her foster carer to gain her trust . Mitzy gets along with other dogs very well, she currently lives with 7 other dogs . She enjoys playing with her fiends and loves a game of tug of war, she also really enjoys the garden. Mizty has a funny, very cute ” Woo woo ” sound when she barks and she is quite talkative.

It has taken a lot of time , patience and more time for Mitzy to let her person stroke her, one handed strokes are acceptable , but often 2 handed strokes are too scary and she will move away. This is starting to change and very recently she was picked up for a brief 2 seconds.

We feel that Mitzy is going to be ready to go to her new home soon where she will continue to make progress. It may be a case of 2 steps back at first. Mitzy needs an experienced owner/s who will give Mitzy time and space when needed and also to be pushed comfortably out of her comfort zone too to help her adjust to her new home.

Mitzy needs another dog , she will not cope if she is left on her own. She needs a dog of a similar size with a nice temperament. Mitzy needs a child free home.

Mitzy has now been adopted and living a life of luxury with her new sister, Honey Bear . Happy days Mitzy and your new family x

As we are providing full rescue back up for Mizty we will only consider rehoming her within a 10 – 15 mile radius of the Harrogate area.
